Recently, a Florida tractor-trailer truck accident left Interstate 75 covered in Coors Light beer. According to Today.com, the website for NBC’s The Today Show, the incident happened on I-75 near Brooksville, which is in Hernando County, Florida, and involved a pickup truck and four tractor-trailer trucks. The multi-vehicle accident began when one of the big rigs clipped one of the other tractor-trailer trucks as it changed lanes.
This resulted in other semi-trucks behind the two that clipped each other braking suddenly to avoid a collision. However, one tractor-trailer truck (the one hauling the Coors Light) was unable to stop in time and collided with one of the big rigs that had stopped, as well as a pickup truck. The multiple collisions led to the Coors Light that one of the semi-trucks was hauling spilling out of the truck’s trailer all over the highway.
Reportedly, none of the occupants of the tractor-trailer trucks were injured in the chain-reaction accident. However, multiple occupants of the pickup truck suffered minor injuries. Most of the lanes of I-75 were closed for six hours while the beer and trucks were cleared off the highway.
Authorities were still investigating the incident as of this report.
